what happened in her upbringing or background to make her this way?

i have a term for girls who make you addicted to them. i called them 'heroin chicks'

the kind of girl you meet and you know she is awful for you but it is like a sweet addiction when you are actually with them. and then when you try and leave them you feel sick. but yet when you are with them you feel just as sick.

well in the original story she came from the street and was brougth up by a older journalist who could not get away from her, but gave her away and married her to an old doctor. so this relationship is kept up, and so on.

I don't think there is a reason for her being like she is. she's a phenomena, she loses herself more and more. because she gets so much attention.
for wedekind she was someone who basicly couldn't exsist in a society like his, or as i would say ours. but i don't think is unability tha she has is something to special, I think not evryone has it like her, but it has to do with the individualism, this selfishness, that we all have, more or less, it's hard to give yourself up, not to sell a picture of yourself, to resist the attraction we can have on someone.
at least that is something I know

what do you think, where does this addiction come from?

i know exactly where it comes from......it is a very specific type of girl. a girl who always seems to be attracted to me. they are intense. they are moody. they are incredibly passionate. and they love drama.

you take all of those qualities and put them in a blender and you get a cocktail for the heroin chick.

the heroin chick doesnt know what she wants. she does know enough when she has a good thing but she is not stable enough to act normally. so she shifts moods. gets very emotional. and brings the guy into it all.

it is easy to get addicted to it when you are naive because the sex is fantastic. heroin girls are always very very sexual. they are also very unpredictable. so there is excitement at first. as well the passion makes you feel so incredibly high. then their instability makes you crazy. and you hang on like a rollercoaster thinking the ride will eventually stop but it never ever does.

so you keep at it like an addict that knows they are doing something wrong but cant admit they need to stop. the 10% that feels so fucking good masks your emotions and makes you forget about the 90% that drives you to the point of near insanity

that was my past life. they seemed like they were around every corner waiting for me. i dont fall for girls like that anymore. eventually you just get tired of the drama. yes the passion is beautiful when it is there but it isnt worth it. they end up with guys who are willing to live that kind of crazy lifestyle.
